This event will take us to Chile, to the Errazuriz winery for a journey through high quality Spanish wines.
About the winery:
Don Maximiano Errázuriz planted the first vines in the Aconcagua Valley in 1870. Thanks to his successors, they were able to consolidate the winery. During his studies in Bordeaux, Eduardo Chadwick learned new winemaking practices and brought technological upgrades to the family vineyard, allowing the winery to adapt to the twenty-first century. This has put Chile on the world map of premium wines. In 2004, Eduardo developed a strategy to raise awareness of Chilean wines: he organised a blind tasting in Berlin, where the most premium wines were tasted alongside famous wines from France and Italy.
Viñedo Chadwick 2000 and Seña 2001 won the two first prizes in this competition, surprising all the experts and changed the international perception of Chilean wines. This is how their wines can be considered among the finest in the world.
